Many golfers make the mistake of simply lifting their arms or tilting their upper body instead of learning how to rotate the torso and hips correctly. Proper rotation is the key to sequencing your swing, generating more power, and preventing injury.
In this CardioGolf® Online Studio session, we’ll focus on three simple but powerful drills to train better rotation:
1. T-Spine Drill with Broomstick – Improve mobility through your upper back and learn how to separate your torso from your hips.
2. Wall Drill – Use a wall for instant feedback on how to turn your hips and shoulders correctly (touch the wall behind you with your trail hip).
3. Hip Rotation Drill (Fringe Visual) – A fun and easy way to see if you’re turning your hips properly. As your hips rotate, the fringe or fabric moves back and through, showing real hip motion instead of tilt.
These drills are simple, require little to no equipment, and will help you feel the difference between true rotation and inefficient lifting or tilting.
