CardioGolf® Daily Dose-Sequencing Drill-
Here’s a simple exercise you can do at home with a golf club. I’m at the gym today, so I’m using a dowel to represent the club.
Hold the club in front of you with your left arm only and get into your golf posture.
Now swing your right arm back. As you start down, lead with your right elbow while your hips begin to clear out of the way.
One of the biggest mistakes golfers make is leading with the clubhead instead of the elbow. When the clubhead goes first, you lose sequence and power.
Next, let the club release naturally. There comes a point where the lower body slows down and the upper body catches up. That’s what creates the "crack of the whip" and effortless clubhead speed.
Once you’ve got the feel, put it all together in one smooth motion with your golf club.
This simple drill helps stretch your chest and back, improve your mobility, and teach the proper sequence of the golf swing—all without hitting a ball.
This is your CardioGolf® Daily Dose.
