When you increase your flexibility, you increase your changes of taking your muscles through a full range of motion for a more fluid golf swing. This stretch is to help increase flexibility in your shoulders and oblique muscles.
Stand in a shoulder width stance.
Lift one arm straight up in the air and then bend from the elbow so that your hand points down.
With the opposite hand push on your elbow back. This will stretch your shoulder.
Then lean away from the bent arm to feel a stretch in your side to increase flexibility in the oblique muscles.
Hold position for 8 to 10 counts.
Return to the start position and repeat motion on opposite side.
