Ideally in the golf swing, you want your head to stay centered. Any raising, lunging, swaying or excessive head movement will cause swing faults and compensations. Your head doesn’t need to stay completely still, but for better contact with the ball, you will want to stay centered and level. A centered swing turns around a steady head.
